All the information in these pages is free for your use but it does get a little stressful. A cup of coffee now and then would be helpful. If you found the information useful feel free to buy me a cup.

Content is the single most important thing in a web page.

Write like you were just talking to a friend.

Write about a subject you know and use some humor whenever it is possible. A little humor will make you more of a friend to those who read your information.

Content

 What to write about.

What do we know about content? We know that without it we have no page. We know it is the single most important thing involved in building a web page.

But that is probably about all we do know. Well, there is more, much more. We need to figure out what our content should be. What we should write about.

I chose the subject of Free information. Information about what someone would need to know before starting to create cashflow online.

Did you notice that I said "free" information? Nothing written by me ever asks anyone to buy anything.

There are places and articles in this site which do offer to sell information. Which is very good information and some of it you may want to purchase.

If you see something interesting, help yourself. I have made s few purchases myself.

You need to find a subject that is important to you. Find something you are passionate about. Something you know and know well and write about it.

Don't think you know anything anyone else would want to know? Don't bet on it.

Just sit back and think about what you have in your past. Everybody has something they can put into a book form. Something they have done and are good at.

Do you golf? Do you play guitar? Do you drive race cars or maybe restore old cars? Believe it or not, there are many people looking for your information.

As a matter of fact, I'd like more information on all of those subjects. I do all of them, but not well. Can you help me out?

I don't care if your passion is lying in a hammock in the back yard enjoying the sunshine with a cold beer, someone somewhere would like to read about it.

When you find your passion write about it like you and I were sitting in that back yard just knocking a few ideas around. Write like we were just talking.

Don't try to impress me with the vocabulary of some third year collage student. Leave those big fancy words for someone else.

A hundred dollar word will not even earn you $10 without something to go with it.

Also throw in a little humor now and then. Let the reader know you are a fun loving person and not just a pompous ass spouting a bunch of meaningless words.

Another thing to remember is to leave some white space on every page. Space out your paragraphs and keep them short.

Make each paragraph only 2 or 3 sentences long. If the article is too bunched up and hard to read the reader will not finish it.

Another thing most webmasters do wrong is try to hard to remain anonymous. Don't be afraid to show your face on what you write.

If the reader sees your face they develop a bit of a friendship with you and they are more likely to return to your page or at least recommend it to their friends.

That recommendation means traffic and traffic to your site is very important. We will talk about traffic later on another page.

So for now, keep it easy to read and to understand.

There is another page here called "What to Write" that goes into content writing a little deeper. A discussion on what, why and how to do it. Take a look.
