The Key Is Diversity

A lot of people think that by building a website and getting it published they are on the road to success, power and wealth. Well, that is a start but it is not a finish. The finish is never going to happen. Once you build a money making website you will need to maintain it as long as you want it to produce. If you stop working your site it will soon become stale and production will definitely decline. If you plan on staying around for the long awaited goal of financial enhancement you will need to be thinking of various ways of diversifying your efforts. What I'm saying is don't put all your eggs in one basket. Don't count on the single website to make you a millionaire. And don't count on one single advertiser either. Once your website is up and running think about building a second site. Find yourself another item to build a new website around and get it published and working for you. Whether you know it or not, you have a lot of interesting knowledge to use in building another site. Do some soul searching and I know you can find something to work with. The second site does not necessarily need to be along the same line. If it is then it is a good thing but don't quit just because you can't think of anything related to the first site. It is called diversity. Diversify your efforts and thoughts in a direction that will be a benefit to the project of wealth building. I built this site and thought I had no more to give but more was needed. So I chose to build a site about my past vacations. Where I had been and what I had seen. I recommended places of excitement, fun and adventure as vacation destinations. At times this site has the most visitors but at other time the vacation site takes first place. Either way I was diversified. I had more than one source of financial aid. I placed google adsense ads on both sites and found money was coming my way. I added several other advertising opportunities and it made a huge difference, however, advertisers come and go and that can cause a drastic change in the income streams. That happened to me. I lost one of my income sources and it had a huge negative impact. So, whatever you do, do not count on one source for all your income. There are many advertising groups that can produce online income. Check them out and use several. Below is a small list of PPC (pay per click) options for your use. And of course there is always the Google program of Adsense. There are many more places to add to a money producing site. Just do a search and see how many show up.
