You now have a site that is published to the web and it is time to think about creating an income with it. That means you need to get some traffic to your site. In order to get traffic to your new site you need to be picked up by a search engine. The three major search engines are Yahoo, Google and MSN. There are many more search engines, but these three are the most popular and well known. So getting recognized by them is pretty important. Search engines use what they refer to as spiders to crawl each site almost daily. The purpose is to see if any new sites warrant their acceptance. The spiders look for content, spelling, what the site has to offer the public and if it is worthwhile. The search engines and their spiders are constantly searching the Internet for any new sites. When your site has been located and crawled by the spider it will be added to that search engines database. It will then begin showing up on searches by the Internet surfers. When a surfer finds your site and it contains what he or she has been looking for you may have a sale of your product. Google has a program which will allow you to create an income from your efforts. It is the Adsense program. With this program you allow Google to place small ads on the edges of your site. When a searcher lands there and happens to click on a google ad you earn money for each click. For information on this program check out this site. Google Adsense. The more traffic you get, the better the chances of them clicking on your ads and the more money you can make. Google Adsense is not a get rich quick thing. It will take time for it to work. But anything worthwhile is worth waiting for.
