is another tip for anyone interested in making money online. Free is not always free. Thats right, free is sometimes just a mask for another way to extract money from an unsuspecting individual. (for more tips, see the Cache's Corner)

When something is offered for free look for the catch. In the world of online wealth the word free is actually just a lead in to something that is not free.

After you accept the free item you will find a glorified and polished ad for something that wants to take money from you.

I have received many free offers just to find that it wasn't the free That was important, it was the pages of appealing words of encouragement on the follow up that was what I was meant to see.

It was a free ad to something someone wanted to sell to me at a price that was more than the item was worth.

Another thing to watch for is the email that says you can try this or that for only $1. This too, has a hidden meaning. Look before you pay your dollar.

See if it says somewhere deep in the finer print or some other place that after 7 or so days you must return the product or try to cancel or you will be charged XX dollars per month.

I bought into one of the $1 programs. I looked all over trying to find the catch and didn't.  I sent the dollar and instantly received something in my email box.

To me it wasn't even worth the dollar but on the following credit card statement I found a charge of more than $75. I thought perhaps it was something I had ordered and forgot about so I didn't question it.

The next month the same amount was there again, more than $75. Now I did question it. Only to find that the $1 trial was some expensive program I was not interested in.

When I confronted them about it I was told that I should have cancelled within 7 days. Who knew? Where did it say that? I didn't see it. I had to have my credit card number changed in order to stop paying.

So just be aware of the free and the cheap trial offers in the email box. Read and reread every word. Some are actually good but there are a few that take advantage of the reader.

All the information in these pages is free for your use but it does get a little stressful. A cup of coffee now and then would be helpful. If you found the information useful feel free to buy me a cup.
