Writing articles can be a way for almost anyone to make money on the Internet. By writing an article you are able to promote a web site owned by you or a product you own. You can even promote a product someone else owns and earn a commission. I know, most people are thinking the same thing. "I don't know anything about writing articles." Well, it is not that hard. Or complicated. Writing an article is nothing more than writing your thoughts in a diary or a journal. You simply write what you are interested in or passionate about. You have carried these thoughts in your head for years. Just start putting them into print. Write about something, anything, that you know something about.
As you write remember that your intent is to make the reader believe that you know what you are talking about. Convince your audience that whatever it is that you have written about is worth their reading. That it is something that will be useful to them. Something that will better their lives or guide them in the right direction. Above all, be honest with the reader. Don't try to fake your way through anything. The reader has seen many other articles and are smart enough to know a lie when they see it. If you don't know something important then tell them that you are not positive but you are researching it. Let them know you are human. If you promise something in your article then by all means give it and make sure it is worth what you are asking. Another thing you should always do is make an article easy for the reader to read. Don't try to impress anyone with ten dollar words. The reader is not there to increase his vocabulary. They are there to gain knowledge. Use simple words and short paragraphs. Make your paragraphs only two or three sentences long. If a paragraph is too long the reader will tire of it and leave before the point has been reached. Leave some white space between paragraphs. That will break up the article and make it more enjoyable and easy to read.
I can't count all the times I have found a title which caught my interest only to find an article of 1200 to 1500 words with no separation of paragraphs. Just one jumbled up mess of words. When I find an article like that I don't even bother to start. I know I will get bored and leave soon. While we are on the subject of titles, that is another thing you want to pay attention to. Make sure your title tells the reader what the article is about. Make your reader want to know what else he can learn from the rest of the article. Some of the best titles are "How to" titles. Most of the searches done on the Internet are for information on how to do something or how to make something. So your title should contain a lead into what it is all about. A title like "How to make Wine", "How to find Love" or "How to generate Wealth" would attract attention. To test your title idea connect to your online program, type into the Google search bar "how to" with quotes and press the go button. The results will show that there are 992 million searches available for HOW TO. At first look that would tell you not to bother with a HOW TO article, but with a search of "how to make wine" the results have a dramatic change. There are now only 87,100 such articles. Now if you add the word BLACKBERRY to your title you will see a real change. It is now only 810 articles. Now this even makes me want to write a blackberry wine article. Now publish your article on a free article promotion page and readers who didn't even know they were interested in a specific type of wine will be reading your information and passing it on to friends and relatives. If you offer an instructional manual at a decent price more readers will want what you have to offer. After you write your article yon need someplace to publish it. There are many such places available. Do a search and you can find several. I often use www.ezinearticles.com and www.amazines.com Both of which give very good service.
