Affiliate Marketing is the act of selling items online for another person or from another website. As an affiliate you have access to the product of someone else and the right to promote the sale of that product. Drop Shipment: Many people have made a very good living by what has been termed drop shipment. Drop shipment is the sale of a product that is made by an affiliate simply by sending the interested buyer to the suppliers web address. You (the affiliate) place the address directions (the web address) on your site, blog or in your email along with a desirable description of the product. When an interested party sees the offer and clicks on the link a coded message goes to the seller that tells him who sent the buyer and which item and how many are needed. The supplier then ships the product to the buyer. Upon final payment for the item a commission is paid to you. (the affiliate) The amount of commission is usually not a large amount. The amount is usually dependant upon the overall cost. Sometimes it can be $20 or more but usually it is less than $1.00. PayPal: The more visitors you refer to the supplier the more commission paid to you. Commissions are usually paid through PayPal or some other means and the check sent to you has an amount to be earned before it is sent to you. The amount to be accumulated before payment is usually $10. and in most cases the minimum is $100. It may not seem like a lot of money to be made but if you are an affiliate for a number of companies and refer many visitors the potential is well worth the trouble. I know many people who have managed to leave their 9 to 5 job and live a comfortable life style from affiliate marketing. Don't be afraid to investigate the possibilities of affiliate marketing.
